Loot Crate Futuristic

This month July's Loot Crate theme was futuristic, and I got the crate a few weeks ago but haven't really had the time to write about it until now as the technology to stop time has not been created yet. Unfortunately this technology was also not in the crate. However what was in the crate were a few things which delighted the hell out of me which I will talk about later. First I want to address what disappointed me this time around the box and magazine. Usually these are as good if not better than the loot itself which goes to show the time and effort that the team at Loot Crate usually put into all parts of their crates. However I believe this time around they let the ball drop with the crate and the magazine so they ...

Dystopia

It feels appropriate that post Brexit I get to review the latest Loot Crate which has the theme of Dystopia. With everyone in the world feeling the effects of the results of the vote it truly is a bit of a dystopian world, dare I say it...the darkest timeline. However ignoring my country's impending doom the crate had a great selection of loot from franchises including; biotic, Terminator, Fallout and of course The Matrix. Starting with the crate it is a thing of beauty creating a picturesque albeit bleak backdrop for looters to take pictures of their loot against. As always it is a simple DIY job for looters who just have to take apart their box to discover the backdrop. This is a feature I truly love about Loot Crates, the fact that they make their packaging works ...

Power

This months theme was Power which meant that the loot crate team had brought together pieces of loot that represented some of the greatest powers in the many fantasy worlds that we love. These included my personal favourite from the lot which was a menacing looking Hulk Q-fig and why wouldn't it? Hulk is the strongest one there is! If ever there was a representation of pure and unyielding power it would be the Hulk. Loving how menacing this Hulk Q-fig is. Thanks @lootcrate #hulk #power #figure #toy #marvel #lootcrate A photo posted by @trevorAKP (@tv_trev) on May 31, 2016 at 11:43am PDT It also had included an exclusive warcraft t-shirt which unsurprisingly paired quite well with one of the previous month's loot, a drinking horn! It was the Level Up loot however that really put a smile ...

Quest

This month...last month's crate was Quest, I actually did get it last month but failed to write about it as planned because...life. I also didn't really feel like writing about as I feel like the majority of the crate was wasted on me this time. The crate celebrated adventures, quests and fellowships, which are all cool things but I can't honestly say I'm a diehard fanboy over stuff like dungeons and dragons. Saying that however the crate was as always filled with wonder and delight even for those who like me were not diehard fans of the content. The magazine was full of things I imagine you would find in a dungeon masters book while going through the game such as letters from past players and mythical mixology recipe... The box design was one which was I have ...

Versus

The theme for March's Loot Crate was Versus which is supposed to celebrate some of the greatest rivalries ever from comics, television and movies. Honestly I found it a little lacking which was disappointing considering the last few crates. The crate itself featured the usual DIY aspect I've come to expect from my crates where you flip it inside out for it to work however the artwork did not blow me away. One side was a jungle landscape while the other was the inside of a spaceship. This was to go with one of the pieces of loot which was a vinyl Alien/Predator. I got Predator and while this went together with the style of the crate and the whole versus theme it just wasn't as great as it could have been. The magazine artwork however was top notch ...

Loot Crate Dead

This month I got the joy of having both my Loot Crate and one of it's many rivals Collector Corps arrive at the same time. For both of them the theme was related to Deadpool for obvious reasons. Loot Crates theme was Dead which related to both Deadpool and to the Walking Dead which is awesome because I just came back from Walker Stalker London. Basically I've had a pretty awesome few days with the only down point being work which I still kinda love...I've had a great week. In Loot Crate's usual fashion they smashed the theme of Dead. The crate was on point with it's DIY function that opened into a scene of walkers trying to get through a gate. I don't know who they have as a graphic designer (total lie it's Zack Finfrock for the ...
