Munny Contest

A blank canvas is a wonderful thing, it's a place where dreams happen, where you can create whatever comes to your mind. If you're like me, when you saw the brief you wanted to do something that no one else would be doing with the Munny. I chose to do my now go to and probably favourite character...Mojo Jojo. I'll be honest I had no idea where to start or how it would end up however I'm pretty proud of what Munny Mojo looks like right now as a finished piece. I based him on the cosplay that I did for last year's LFCC and made him a little bit darker...if that's even possible. Most people probably won't get the reference without the Powerpuff girls in the background and that's okay but my hope is that at least ...

Mojo Jojo

Most of us are at least vaguely familiar with the Powerpuff Girls and those of us that are know that their greatest enemy was always Mojo Jojo. Now it may have been the 2014 Powerpuff Girls special (which I'm not ashamed to say I watched) or it might have been that I was looking for something unique to cosplay as for the first time but by some stroke of luck I rediscovered the domineering character that is Mojo Jojo and decided to cosplay him after seeing that no one had really done him justice (except for an amazing female version). In this post I will detail as much as possible how I went about creating my version of Mojo Jojo, the issues that I had to overcome during the process and how I hope to improve the cosplay. Idea Generation ...

Cosplay

Well it is a Japanese portmanteau that is short for "Costume Play". Cosplay in my understanding is equal parts performance art and role play of characters from films, TV shows, manga, anime, comics and video games. Some buy their costumes while others choose to build them. This kind of splits the idea of what a cosplayer is into two separate but connected subcultures wherein there are cosplayers (those who dress up and role play) and costumers (who build the costumes and might ...

London Film and Comic Con

Thought I'd do a small update on London Film and Comic Con which is approximately a month away now. For those of you who follow me or know me you will know that I will be cosplaying when I go. This will be the first time ever that I'll be cosplaying so I'm looking forward to it. I've decided to jump in at the deep end and create two full costumes for the event, which I will wear over the 3 days. I will try to take as many pictures as possible during the builds so that I can do a post after the event for those wanting to know how they can create their own versions of what I'll be going as. For those wondering what I'll be going as; one costume will be the Miles Morales version of ...
