Rogue One

Unless you've been living under a rock you'll know that Star Wars just released another movie which is not one of the main episodes but has ties into the main story. Hollywood is unfortunately known for it being very white male orientated so it is refreshing to see a film which is diverse in so many ways not only for having a female lead but having a supporting cast mostly comprised of non-white actors. This did not go unnoticed by comic Kumail Nanjiani famous for his role in Silicon Valley. As with most things this ended up on Twitter and the world agreed with his interpretation. Why Rogue One's diverse cast is more powerful than some may realize Now I'm going to play a little devils advocate here and look at this a different way. Yes it was ...

Collector Corps vs Loot Crate

Two weeks ago I posted about ZBOX's The Force themed box. Apparently my Collector Corps and my Loot Crate should have come the week after just before Christmas but my postman failed to get in to my flat block to deliver it or even tell me they were waiting for me. So I kind of missed out on them as a gift to myself but on the plus side today was like Christmas all over again! So I've decided to compare the two as the themes are very similar with Loot Crate doing a Galaxy theme and Collector Corps doing a Guardians of the Galaxy theme. Collector Corps Keeping in style with the previous boxes the Collector Corps Guardians box has a key character on the front in the form of Star Lord and inside some frames from one of ...

Star Wars The Force Awakens

If you haven't watched the latest Star Wars stop reading now. If you have then you like me probably feel that it was possibly the most perfect sequel that ever was rivalling even the perfection of the Toy Story franchise. Hell it blows that franchise out of the water. There are literally books that could be written about any number of subjects from this latest instalment of the legendary series of films but I have decided to concentrate on one particular aspect that I believe made the film stand out among the rest of the Star Wars universe. The Stormtroopers. Design The design of the new First Order stormtrooper was led by costume designer Michael Kaplan who has had a pretty amazing career working on a number of high profile films. Vanity Fair actually ran an article on how he ...

The Big Bang Theory

We all know what the Big Bang Theory is by now. Not the really popular alternative theory to the existence of God, I'm talking about the super popular comedy series about a group of nerds. Fair warning to anyone who hasn't watched the episode or the show I'm going full spoiler here so read on at your own risk. From the get go of the latest episode you could tell it was going to be special with the inclusion of the classic scrolling text that every Star Wars film is famous for starting with to recap what has happened. This episode was seemingly going to be focused on a single storyline based on the opening sequence but those who hadn't spoiled it for themselves were going to be in for a fantastic surprise as Sheldon forfeits his ticket so that ...
