So it's been a while since I've wrote anything because I haven't had the motivation to after working especially long hours recently but this recent backlash to a show has me shocked amused perplexed aggravated. As I write this I can't believe I have felt the need to but I know that I do need to. Those of you that know me personally know that I loved the film Dear White People before it came out and even more so when it did. I love it so much I even have a t-shirt of it so when the news broke this week that Netflix has ordered a 10-episode series for 2017. Like the film, the series will follow a diverse group of students navigating a predominantly white Ivy League college where racial tensions are often swept under the rug. The series is still in the early stages of development so it's unclear if any of the actors involved in the film will be reprising their roles but it would certainly delight me if they did. More than the return of characters I look forward to seeing how they adapt the film to 30 minute episodes. In ...
